I don't remember how or when I stumbled upon 1Password, but I am glad that I did. This popular password manager lets securely store almost anything, from passwords and credit cards to software licenses and private keys. The suite of applications, developed by, is best in class, bar none. There are many macOS clients available for working with Git. Even offers a free solution,. But Tower is the best I have come across over the years.

While I mostly use the command line for simple operations, Tower is an indispensable piece of software in my workflow. Paw advertises itself as 'the most advanced API tool for Mac' and it may be right. This beautifully designed macOS application lets you send and inspect HTTP requests.

But it does much more than that. It is interesting to see how Paw has successfully made its way into a market that is crowded with free alternatives. Paw is a joy to use. It is powerful, flexible, and easy on the eyes. Even though Xcode ships with a view debugger, Reveal is worth every penny.

Reveal is more powerful, and more stable, than Xcode's view debugger. A few weeks ago, with support for application extensions and view debugging over USB. Give it a try. I use it in almost every project I work on. I use from time to time, but LaunchBar is my preferred application launcher. But LaunchBar is much more than an application launcher.

I really enjoy the bells and whistles LaunchBar ships with, such as rules, its clipboard manager, and support for extensions. Keeping windows organized, especially on a notebook, can be a pain.

Most developers prefer to keep their hands on the keyboard as much as possible. Divvy makes this painless.

There are several applications for managing windows, but Divvy ticks all the boxes I am interested in. I also use, a similar application. But I only use Moom for the convenient menu it shows when you hover over the green button in the top left of a window. Most of my writing is done in and Byword is my preferred writing companion. In fact, I am typing this in Byword.

I miss the beautiful user interface of and, but Byword lets me focus on the writing and it also allows me to directly publish to WordPress. Did I mention Byword is also. Bear took me by surprise a few weeks ago. This beautifully crafted suite of applications has made me forget Evernote and Vesper. It is easy to use, ships with a nice selection of themes and, last but not least, has support for Markdown. Notes are seamlessly synchronized between iOS and macOS. Recently introduced the third major release of its flagship product, PaintCode.

PaintCode is a vector drawing application that turns drawings into code. It supports Swift 3, Objective-C, Java, JavaScript, and C#. It also includes support for PDF, SVG, EPS, and several other file formats.

Another developer tool I couldn't do without is SimPholders. Finding the application container of simulator builds is tedious and the location tends to change with every major release of Xcode. SimPholders makes accessing the application container of simulator builds painless and it offers a number of other neat features, such as launching an application and shortcuts to common device actions. TextExpander is a very popular snippet expander for macOS. It allows me to transform a few keystrokes into a text snippet or image. This is very convenient for a plethora of tasks, including software development. I have been using it for years and use it hundreds of times each day.

I use ScreenFlow to create the. It has served me well for many years and it is packed with features. There are a few features I miss but nothing major. Even though I'm not a designer by trait, as an independent developer, I frequently need to create or tweak project assets. I have used Adobe Photoshop for many years and I still do, but Sketch has gained a lot of traction in recent years. Designers seem to love it and I can understand why. Sublime Text has been around for years and years.

It used to be the default text editor for many developers. I continue to use it because it is extremely lightweight.

Nowadays, however, my preferred text editor for development is Atom. The folks at GitHub have done a great job with Atom.

The popularity of Atom has exploded since its introduction several years ago. It is great to use, easy to expand, and continuously improving.

Despite the recent kerfuffle about Dash, it continues to be the best documentation browser for developers. It also sports a snippet manager and integrates with a range of other applications and IDEs. Even though Base hasn't been updated for over a year, I continue to use it for browsing SQLite database.

It does its job well and I have no complaints. Sometimes an application is great as it is. Over the years, Charles has saved me countless hours of debugging. Charles is an application for debugging network traffic. It has been around for many years and does an excellent job.

Pixelcut Introduces Web Code For Mac Free

My only complaint with Charles is the lack of a native client for macOS. Is known for crafting beautiful products and Kaleidoscope is no different. For a file comparison tool, it may be a bit too expensive for some developers, but I don't regret purchasing Kaleidoscope. It works great and integrates nicely with Tower. Gets a lot of praise, but I haven't given it a fair trial yet. For now, I am sticking with Xcode. Xcode has evolved dramatically over the years.

For Swift development, it still isn't ideal. Compiling takes quite a while for larger projects and Xcode frequently decides code completion isn't that important after all. Complaining about Xcode is a tradition I suppose.

But let's be honest, Xcode does a pretty great job most of the time.

Apple is set to open a new retail location in Rimini, Italy this Saturday, on August 3. The store is located in the largest shopping mall in the Emilia-Romanga region, Le Befane, which includes more than 130 different retail shops and restaurants. Though Apple has 12 stores spread across the country, the Le Befane location will be the first in Rimini. The location is reportedly quite large, spanning approximately 1,000 square meters between both the warehouse and retail space. At store openings, Apple typically hands out commemorative T-shirts to the fi 22:50 Uhr. It's easy to lose perspective on such things living in a city like New York, but people do indeed still have landlines at home.

And really, in a world so dominated by the smartphone, why not get one that sort of splits the difference between the two? Granted, the Panasonic KX-PRX120 has the kind of specs that would make us shake our collective heads were it positioned as a standard handset, but as far as cordless phones go, it's, well, certainly more exciting than what most people having sitting on their kitchen counters. He uses a Thunderbolt to Express Card adapter, then connects an ExpressCard to PCI-Express adapter, and finally to a Windows-compatible video card.

The final result is somewhat bulky but seems to provide an excellent gaming experience. It has become very clear that gaming is not only high-performance, but super practical on an 11' Macbook Air. There's so much going against it: this hodgepodge of adapters, it has a low v 22:20 Uhr. Flowboard is a well thought out, free app that lets you create presentations with text, video, or graphics. With the wide range of selections available on, and suggested by, Netflix we've all had that embarrassing moment where you fire up the family account and your family discovers the Slumber Party Massacre marathon you had last night. Or whatever embarrasses you. Here's some good news fellow viewers; Netflix is rolling out personalized user profiles and they're starting with Apple TV. According to a report from MacRumors, and confirmed on Twitter, users who have previously set up profiles with the former DVD-delivery service can now see those profiles on their Apple TV's. The debut comes with some caveats.

Profiles cannot be altered and new users cannot be currently added. This is a sort of Beta test for the company, which told 20:06 Uhr.

One of Apple's most high-profile stores is undergoing a renovation to tweak the design to perfection. According to ifoAppleStore.com, the Covent Garden Apple Store in London is having minor work done at night so that the busy store can remain open for business during the day. Most of the renovation work appears to be aimed at smoothing the 'flow of visitors into and within the store,' including moving a display table that's nearest to the iconic glass staircase so that there's more room for greeting customers. The store's Genius Bar has been converted to the popular new 360-degree version, providing a more personable one-on-one situation between the store Geniuses and their customers. As Apple continues to bring its Developer Center back online after a week-long outage, the company is sending out emails to developers noting a potential delay for app reviews.

ReadWrite has posted one of the letters being received by developers:'We are currently reviewing an app that you submitted for inclusion on the App Store, and want to let you know that the review process will require additional time. We apologize for the delay and will provide you with an update on the status of your app as soon as possible.' Such letters are not uncommon, of course, but given the amount of time that the Developer Center was offline, it makes sense that Apple would have a backlog of reviews to work through. According to our own Brett Terpstra, tagging may be difficult at first, but once we adopt the practice, it may change the way we think about the filesystem of an OS.

With iCloud and sandboxing, Apple is distancing us from the folders that hold our data. In this folder-less existence, Tags will become the glue that holds our data together and lets us organize our files. It'll be an iOS-like experience in which you don't have to worry about where files are being stored.

You can find files by their tags and don't have to dig through folders and Finder windows to organize your work. You can read mor 17:05 Uhr.

Google owned Motorola Mobility and Apple have agreed to drop a combined total of 14 patents from litigation that were part of a Florida lawsuit scheduled to go to trial in 2014. Apple dropped 6 patents in the pending case, while Motorola dropped 8, leaving 8 total patents to be tried in court, reports FOSS Patents. Yesterday (Monday, July 29 2013) Apple and Motorola filed a stipulation to dismiss a total of 14 patents from the Miami case. Apple had previously dropped two patents (though it reserved some rights subject to what happens on appeal), so the case was down from 24 to 22 patents. Under yesterday's stipulation, Motorola drops eight patents and Apple withdraws six, restoring parity.

Apple's anti-theft procedure for its employees is the topic of a class action lawsuit filed by two former Apple employees, according to a report in AppleInsider. The lawsuit was filed last week by Amanda Frlekin and Dean Pelle in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Like many retailers, Apple has a security checkout procedure that requires employees to submit to a personal package and bag search whenever they clock out for a break or leave at the end of the shift. Even after browsing the description of Pixlgun 3D on the app store, you may still not know what to make of it. It looks like Minecraft, but it's a shooter. It emulates analog sticks on a touchscreen, but boasts fantastic control. And it looks cartoony, but offers a very real sense of panic and dread. In short, it's a game that will pleasantly surprise you on several fronts. Pixlgun 3D bills itself as a 'survival shooter,' and that label describes the game's action quite well.

I love my Canon DSLR for the flexibility of selecting high-quality lenses, a plethora of shooting modes, the faithful color renditions, and the high storage capacity I can get with inexpensive SD cards. The Eye-Fi Mobi Wi-Fi memory card (starting at US$49.99 for an 8 GB capacity) offers a simple way to quickly 'shoot and share' from a DSLR through your iOS device. I'm no stranger to Eye-Fi cards. I currently use the company's Connect X2 card when I'm shooting review photos for TUAW, since I can have them automatically transferred to my Mac without needing to remove the SD card and put it into the computer's SD card reader.
